Policy and procedures
MISSION STATEMENT :My goal is to provide the best quality care for your child in a safe, loving and stimulating environment.
Hours/Overtime:7:00am-5:00pm
Overtime means any unscheduled time your child is in my care outside of my 5:00pm latest pick time after then will be a $1 per min. These fees are due with the next week's payment. I do understand that emergencies and situations can provide certain difficulties from time to time. If any emergencies should happen please notify me immediately so I can work with you. I charge the overtime fees, not from a desire to make extra money, but because I have a very busy family schedule after 5:00pm. (This also apply for part-time as well.)
HOLIDAYS AND CLOSURES/Payments
My daycare will be closed with pay on the following statutory holidays:
New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas day. Payments is due Friday before the following week. Example: If care were to start Monday July 9th, I need payment Friday July 6th.
ILLNESS AND MEDICINE
I will provide care for minor illnesses such as minor cold. The provider will administer some medications provided proper instructions are provided. Scratches and scrapes are inevitable when children play. These injuries will be treated with antiseptic and a Band-Aid. With anything more serious, I will inform you at once.
SUPPLIES
Parents are required to bring a complete change of clothing (including socks) appropriate for the weather to be kept at the home daycare. Good clothing is not recommended. Parents will be required to bring a bathing suit, hat, and sunscreen to be kept at the home daycare during the warmer months. The child must have appropriate hats, mittens, boots, and coats and snow pants during the colder months. All items should be labelled with your child’s initials. You may choose to leave a bag to stay in the home daycare, or you can bring a diaper bag back and forth everyday with you.
The parents will provide all baby supplies necessary for the care of this child. I will notify you when your child's supply needs to be replenished. Parents should also bring an infant's/child's pain reliever and diaper rash ointment (if used). I will not supply any medications or creams. The parent/s is responsible for providing the following: Diapers, wipes, Formula/Bottles, and Extra set of clothing please include a short sleeved shirt, long sleeved shirt, pants, shorts, underwear and socks.
MEALS
Breakfast, lunch and one snacks per day will be served. The meals will be well balanced nutritious meals. I will try to incorporate each of the four food groups in each meal, as recommended by the Health Department Food Guide. If your child has any allergies, or extreme dislikes please let me know.
TERMINATION OF SERVICE
The provider may terminate the child's enrolment effective immediately if the child's behaviour threatens the physical or emotional well being of one or more of the other children at the home daycare. Difficulty with the child will be discussed as incidents occur and I will work my hardest to make it work! The provider will refund a portion of the weekly fee paid by the parent for the week that childcare services will not be offered. Two weeks notice is required for termination of child care by either party. If a parent does not wish to give prior notice of termination, then two weeks' rates must be paid in full. Childcare services shall be terminated if payment is not received by five days after payment is due
